Best 9pin joystick with multi button function.
Yo guys ,
Prob been asked before but I’m asking anyways What in your experience is the best multi button joystick for retro/Amiga gaming. I’ve got a Quickshot with dual buttons but for some insane reason it’s a left handed one (I think they all were ). So I’m really after a right handed stick with at least two buttons on the left. Never really got on with oldskool pads like the cd 32 pad. At least two buttons needed so I don’t have to press space bar or keys. Back in the day we used to pu the Amiga or c64 under the desk and press space with out toes for 2ndary weapons. No way I’m doing that theses days lol. Cheers. Steve |

Yes! Paradroid 90 is a good test. I have fun using the joystick with Rainbow Islands and other similar platforms. Project-X is good fun too because the joystick has dual fire support so you do not need to reach down for space bar to change weapon.

Sorry to thread jack but I have noticed you have been active in this thread amigakit. Is there a problem with your communications systems? I and many other have contacted you with no response. Please see this thread for example
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=94405 You guys have served the Amiga community so well over the years so i hate seeing your reputation being affected like this. Maybe you could create a amigakit thread where people can post and you can help? Or post when you are closed or busy etc |

It's good that You made 2 button joystick. It's some kind of shame that Amiga support 2 (or even more) buttons and most of joysticks were 1 button only. And list of games which support 2 buttons is wider, You can read about them in this topic. |

@Solo Kazuki
Thanks for the link. It is a shame the Amiga did not support more games with multi-buttons. The joystick we produced was an attempt to bring a robust and quality gaming device with two button support to the market. @Gordon We had some staff on well deserved holiday the last two weeks after a few continuous months of heavy workload- we put a message on our website in the Support pages to let customers know. We are now all back in work so we are catching up on the workload. Please pmail me here with your request. Thanks |

Hi Are there any plans to add autofire to your joystick? |

I bought an Arcade Evolution Amiga Joystick from AmigaKit and love it. Great joystick and it’s brand new so should last a long time.

you could add extra buttons on the left side of the chassis, or simply rotate the joystick and swap the wires |

Can't beat making your own out of arcade parts. Doesn't have to be anything special just a box made of MDF quickly glued & screwed together.
I put a hinged lid on mine so it can easily be flipped open for modifications/repairs. |
