Yes a WHDLoad version for this game would be great!!! Then I can play it on my A1200/A4000. BTW a WWarp-file of the original disk is already in the Zone.
And thank you for explaination why it's shown as NDOS-disk.

Your disk is 100% OK!

The stack command is not needed, it's fake and used for checking the protection track in the original game.

Check the WHDLoad site, I had a few hours to waste today.

Regarding the .ADFs that are flying around; original disk + cracked compilation disk + cracked standalone disk...

None of the above work in WinUAE without the music being warped for the first 5 seconds no matter what Quickstart / configuration is used

The strange thing is that Retroplay tested the cracked / standalone version (without "Stack 15000" in s/startup-sequence) on his Amiga 500 and this issue is no longer

This has nothing to do with the "stack" command, this problem also happens on my real A500's when booting the decrypted disk with the fake stack command removed. It's (most probably) a bug in the replayer code somewhere, I have created test code which allows me to easily reproduce the problem, I don't know why it happens yet though.

Thanks for pinch-hitting with the patch for this one StingRay!

I've played Minter's games on the C64 and I didn't think this was such a bad game. Jeff Minter, on the other hand, had some less than complimentary comments to make about the Amiga and ST conversions of Revenge II:

http://cd.textfiles.com/mmcd/GAMES/REVENGE/README.TXT

The original Revenge was written in autumn 1983 on the C-64, just
before I had my first ever skiing holiday. It was part of a
sequence of games comprising Attack of the Mutant Camels (implemented
on the C64 and 8-bit Atari), Revenge (C-64) and Return of the
Mutant Camels (C-64). This latter game was Yak's last C64 game,
and some of you may have been unfortunate enough to encounter
Mastertronic's Amiga and ST versions of that last game released as
Revenge II. Those versions were a travesty of the original
Commodore game. Mastertronic used five programmers and took as
many months to produce an absolute dog of a conversion. They'd
changed a lot of the levels and relentlessly eradicated every
ounce of playability Yak built into the Commodore original. If
you ever see the Mastertronic version anywhere, don't buy it
because it is dreadful. They never even showed me a copy before
they released it - I had to buy it from a shop in Basingstoke -
and it's awful. There is only one true 16-bit Revenge, and this
is it.

hello,

I am spending this #stayhome time to try one by one all of my 25-30 years old floppies.

Unfortunately few of them are no longer readable (block error "6" , not recoverable to tell the truth). I praised Gotek and adf for existing!!

Anyhow I cannot find Revenge II, even on the Zone.

Sorry for my inexperience here. Please can you help me to find that rare and funny game?

Many thanks.

edit - I am mentioning this one: https://www.mobygames.com/game/amiga...ls/screenshots
