Boot Menu for A1200

Hey Guys, i may be barking up a completely pointless tree but i'm wondering about a boot menu for the 1200.

My thinking:
I have a commodore A1200 system with a Microbotics M1230XA 030 at 50Mhz accelerator, 64mb Ram and a 4GB CF hdd.
I am currently using Bloodwych's ClassicWB (Great setup and very easy to use) but i've also been reading about AmigaSYS. I would like to, if possible, create a sort of dual boot system so that when i switch the machine on, it boots to a menu asking which system i would like to load.

My Problem:
I have never done any sort of programming on either an Amiga or PC but am intrigued to learn and wouldn't have any clue where to start in writing said menu.

If i need to upgrade the machine with a bigger hdd then i'd also need help in setting up anything larger than 4gb as i tried reading about sfs and using a 10gb and got very confused.

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Mike

I have Classic WB and AmigaSYS4 on two partitions.I hold double mouse at start and boot from the one i want.I'm not sure i would benefit from having an option pop up saying which system i wanted though.Have you considered setting up with two of your partitions this way

@scrappysphinx

If you have the CF interface installed above the PCMCIA port so that the CF Card is poking out of the side of your A1200 (can't remember if it was you that did this mod Mike???)
Then simply have 2 CF Cards which can be changed to either run CWB or AmigaSys. Of course swap the CF's when the A1200 is off.

If you haven't fitted your CF Adapter this way it maybe worth doing, as you say you don't have any programming or script experience, and it would be the easiest way to do it. Also allows you to easily update your OS with WinUAE without opening your A1200 everytime

Hey guys and thanks for the suggestions. TC, i modded mine so the CF sticks out the back of the machine so yes i can swap cards easily however i only have 1 cf card at the min due to my other 2gb one just not being recognised by pc, amiga or digi camera when working fine last week and the local shop refusing to replace and manufacturer not even responding to email (only 3 months old).
I guess i could have two bootable partitions as suggested by Adropac and see how that goes.
Thanks Guys
