Addicted to Amiga forums?

This year, I KNOW that I have spent an unhealthy amount of time perusing Amiga forums.

I would go so far as to say that I have a bit of a problem.
The last thing I do at night is check EAB, Amibay, AW,net and A.Org then EAB again - just in case.

Am I the only one, should I seek help or is my behaviour the sign of an advancement in human evolution?

I can't get on the 'net at work but whenever I can the first thing I always do is check here and Lemon Amiga. It's genuinely a habit having done so for nearly five years (!).

EAB is the only forum I read frequently, and some days I'll check in just once and some days 10 times or more. I think it'll eventually come to a point where I've had too much and will stop visiting for several months, and then restart the whole cycle again.

I don't post too much unless someone is stuck with a problem I can help out with or if I have some new graphics to share, but I read all the English Amiga forums every day. I've been addicted to Amigas since I was 6 years old so I doubt I'd ever stop reading the forums, it's hard enough living without monthly Amiga magazines in the local newsagencies.

Periodic for me as well. Currently more than twice a day, but a few weeks ago I only visited once a month. Depends on what else is on in life I guess

This 'hanging' on various places on the internet, checking mail etc is pure poison (for getting to things you want to do that you know you want to do because you love them and know you would feel better doing them instead but still you hang on the internet). I happen to think it's poison not just for me. It *is* better than sprawling in the TV sofa, but most of it is just as time-wasting. There are simply so many things that you could do, but web interaction has you hooked.

I've had periods when I've had it bad, now I try to bunch together my online activities to do many of them, 2-3 times per week. That includes checking email, because emails can cause lengthy browsing.

Bunching together my online time is a real improvement over what I did before, for me. Recommended!

Six month ago I got myself a good android phone, and now do a lot of drop in at the bus stop. Much nicer than just standing there in the rain.

I'm with you but I am trying to cut down (the first part of of the solution is to admit that you have a problem!).

I check out EAB a couple of times a week, sometimes more. But almost always I read all the new topics that have interest; so stay on site for hours at the time... Lovely place this is

Twice a day I scan the forums I like, topics of the day I have greater interest in I tend to keep open in a tab to refresh every now and then. So far they have always been topics in the OT sections

I tend to average a couple of visits a day here, i guess it's because i think so much of the Amiga, but also because it's eab- can't imagine i'd want to hang around at other forums
