English version of Reederei (from Ariola soft)
Even today we are having fun playing reederei, even I made a remake of it on PC years ago. We always played the game in Deutsch. But today I was reading an old magazine and there is a Reederei review. Then I realized the menus and options are in "English" in that article!
I didn't know if it's existed in english, so I'm asking if anyone has the english version of Reederei by Ariola soft. Thanks |

There is a translated version in TOSEC. You can find it on the EAB file server (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43633) in the folder 'TOSEC/Games/[ADF]/R' (Reederei (1988)(Art Edition)(De)[tr en Dave - Mr. Coke].zip).

Thank you! And sorry to bother you because my lack of checking tosec. I thought it's TRained by a cracking group, Because it's not tagged [en] or [M2] instead it's tagged as [de]. I need to re-read tosec convention.

Uhmm, it is well possible that an English version exists then. Since I do NOT think that the magazine ref told about had actually tested an unofficial translated version...

The article is coming from "64'ler", Turkey's most popular mag (at that time). And I'm sure (and know) they were using cracked games for reviewing. It was a time of pirating, and no gamer knew that it was illegal. (it's a big possibility that using a cracked copy was not illegal in 80's Turkey, since there were neither official game release nor local intellectual right laws on digital games exist.)
