Matay Prometheus and Voodoo3 P96 memclock...

Just purchased a NOS Prometheus; easiest setup I have ever completed. I have a Voodoo3 3000 running smoothly. Is there any way to get the Prometheus monitor datatype to actually change the memclock from 166 MHz? No matter what I tried, stuck at 166 when I run P96 CheckBoard. CheckBoard groups the memclock under the heading of "user definable flags", so not sure what's going on here.

Any ideas? Thanks.

You need to set OVERCLOCK=YES in the Voodoo monitor tooltype.

Though I've never had a Prometheus, I'm just assuming it's the same as Mediator.

I have a Prometheus but need to actually use it! Bought it along with a Voodoo 3 card.

Going a bit slow restoring the A4000

Where did you find a NOS Prometheus in 2018? ;-)

Fella on eBay was just cleaning out some old stuff. It was just the card and power cable, noting else, but pristine. Still wrestling with the best way to mount in my A4000T. Whoever decided the shape/layout of the board is a sadist... Could have at least made the front long enough to tie in with the guide slots. I am using 1U / 2U PCI risers to try and minimize the intrusive nature of the card. Hopefully post pics if I ever get it set like I want. Voodoo 3 is nice and fast, but gets pretty warm.

@Darren: do you still have your Quickpak 060? I need something better than an A3640 (bleh)...

Since the board layout and everything for the Prometheus is open, someone really needs to remake it to not be so funny shaped.
