cannot change joystick buttons

dear all

i have an annoying problem where i cannot change my joystick buttons, i just want to re-arrange some of the buttons which i used to be able to do on older versions of winUAE without any problem, the part where i used to be able to select which button did what is greyed out, i tried changing the 1 to a 2 and that let me change them and then i saved it, but when i reload winuae and the particular config i saved it goes back to 1 anyway

i've attached a gif file of the problem, i've been using winUAE for years, pretty much since it started, and this problem is annoying the hell out of me, i am almost tearing my hair out over it

Not this will be any help, but I had a problem remapping certain PC keyboard keys to Amiga Keys because of few of them were greyed out on this page. I got around it by using the "Remap" buttons on the Host->GamePorts page for either Port1 or Port2 (which ever port you want your joystick to control).

ive managed to work out how to do it now!

it wont let you just randomly change them in the input tab on the new versions, you have to go to the Game ports tab and press remap, that's how you do it!

oh well, got there in the end

GamePorts mappings always override Input panel in recent versions. Set "none" in GamePorts if you want to configure everything.
