Underground Gamer Invite

Hi, I found a torrent called "360 Windows 3.11 Games" and I would like to download it, but the torrent is from a private tracker, the Underground Gamer. I found it to be a good place with many torrents.

Many people know that the site doesnt allow new users, so I am here to... Argh, well to find somebody that could give me an invite. The tracker says that some users have them, so I am looking out for some people that could loan an invite to me.

Somebody?

Anyway, I would be grateful to everybody that are hearing me.

Due to the nature of the content that was shared on Underground Gamer, in accordance with the wishes of some EAB users and some members of the staff of Underground Gamer, it would be better if the site was no longer discussed publicly on EAB.

As a consequence the thread is closed.

If you were a member of UG and had some friends there, you can PM lilalurl if you wish to have some news of your friends if you lost contact with them when UG was closed.

Certainly, s2325! Wait some 30 min, thats the time for me to download and upload it for everybody.

I think you should scan it for viruses and specially run it inside an emulator like VirtualBox or Virtual PC. I will do it this way.

I would like specially to play again that crap Visual Basic 1.0 games that I saw totally amazed when I was a teenager!

Thank you. I have old 486 laptop with Windows 3.11 installed and I like games designed for this OS version. Most of them should work under XP but it's not the same.

@Cyberdruid

Cyberdruid, the file is very large for the Zone (130 MB). There are any chance to upload it to the file server???

@s2325

Yeah, Windows 3.11 has its own charm, like Workbench and even TOS

Sure, just use the upload info from this thread : http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43633 (FTP). Create a folder with your username. Afterwards let me know and I'll move it over to the file server

I have the Windows Entertainment Pack on my Vista laptop and I agree it is not the same playing them on it compared to the old machine

I will be getting this for my Windows 3.11 / Windows 98 machine, AMD K6 133Mhz, 48MB RAM, 1MB S3 Trio 64v+ Graphics card, 2 1.2 GB HDDs, 1 4.3GB HDD(Fat32 Windows 98), 5 Port PCI USB card.

I am very impressed to see how Virtual PC is so bad to run Windows 3.11. But Virtual Box runs it a bit better, and have window scaling, despite being a bit awkward to use it with this...

I heard it is possible but I never did it. But the DosBox forum says it was written only for playing DOS games. I am also curious to know. Maybe we can find a video on YouTube?

By the way - could someone here please confirm that there's no danger in sharing the link to your public profile page on UG with people?

I asked for the link to someones (I will keep it anonymous, I'm not saying it's anyone in this thread) 'public' profile page on UG, so I could use the 'transfer upload credit to this user' option, to help out a bit.

However, I think I was misunderstood as someone trying to steal the account, and once you're suspected of that, it's harder to convince people that's absolutely not the case.

So if someone could just post to confirm that you can't steal anyones account by looking at their profile page on UG, that would be great
Even though I'd think it should be obvious enough just by browing UG and seeing how you can look at anyones profile page just by clicking their username in the forums or all the other places you find them.

I'm sorry, it just didn't even occur to me that people would be nervous about that, I mean you can look at anyones profile on UG... for instance, on any torrent, if you look at who has pressed the 'thanks' button for that torrent, you get a list of all the people who have done that and you can click their names and look at their profile pages.
It's really not a way to do anything sinister, I'm sorry I freaked you out but I had nothing but the best of intentions

In any case, just forget about it then, I won't insist you let me transfer some upload credit - I just dislike to be suspected of being some kind of account thief so that's why I wanted to convince you that is not the case. But you won't hear any more about this from me, sorry for even asking if you would like some upload credit to get you started.
