has anyone completed The Eye of Horus?
The adf I have always seems to crash when you enter the elevator shaft unlocked by the blue key. Here's what it looks like:
I was working on a compiling a map for the game. I can't seem to find any, so I was interested in making one... especially if that might make it easier for someone to record a longplay for it in the future. I hope there's another working version of the game, or some way around it. I realize the map doesn't look like much (hey, it's incomplete!), but it might help if anyone wants to test this out without wasting time getting lost: -The light blue square is your starting location. -The elevator shafts that are colored are locked and require the corresponding key. -The keys are the grey squares with either the yellow crescent, green triangle, red rectangle, or blue circle on them. So, to do this as fast as possible: 1. Grab the red key in the bottom center of the map. 2. Use the red key to grab the green key on the bottom-left of the map. 3. Use the green key near the beginning. 4. Go to the very top to grab the next green key. 5. Get the blue key near the roman numeral "IV". 6. Proceed to the blue elevator. By which point you'll probably be feeling like this: |

Ah that's right, you can see that they made it through the blue area in the HOL screenshot.
The file I was using is titled 'eyehorus.adf', and comes with an infinite lives y/n crack by "Mike and Dave". |

Hi Bucky,
I've recently been indulging in a little nostalgia, playing Eye of Horus on an Atari ST emulator! Like you I wanted to make a map of all the Item locations, but I ran into a problem. The red key at the location on your map, has been replaced with a ladder in my version of the game, making it impossible to progress without cheating. Although this doesn't really answer your question, I just wondered if you'd experienced anything similar, or had any idea why this might be?! Also, I can access the blue area (where your game crashes) using a cheat which gives you all the keys from the beginning. Cheers. |

Hey Bucky. There's some more versions of the game in the EAB file server. Information on how to login is here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43633
File is under /TOSEC/Games/[ADF]/E/ Hope any of those are bug-free. That Mike and Dave-disk you got is there along with 3 other versions. |
