It looks like an ordinary video monitor to me. Several year ago, I used to work for a TV station and used Amigas. We had similar monitor + many Philips 8833II. Any video monitor is better than a TV and better than the 1084. I think though that this is way too expensive for a 400$ buy now. 200-250 maybe? Besides, 20"? FFS! I mean, it is a video monitor, not a SVGA monitor. WHat will be the highest resolution to use in WB? Even with a flicker fixer, you cannot go more than a mere 640*512....

Its just a RGB monitor.. (almost) any jamma arcade minitor will not only work fine up to 640x480. they are brand new for that price as well... and share the same signals as the amiga.

An 1084 monitor is ok for an amiga, I went one better with a NEC 3DS monitor and amiga adapter for maybe $60 including shipping from canada. I cant see spending $300 (just for reserve not including shipping) for a video monitor thats going to be used in low resolution most of the time playing games.
You are much better off with a flicker fixer true 30khz VGA device and a nice standard 19" SVGA monitor to go with it for that kind of cash. |

I just picked up a Sony 21" Trinitron for 250 pounds. Mint condition from a retailer. Considering that, I think you would have to be a moron to buy something like thatl when you add a flicker fixer to this, you have one of the best monitors in the world.

This is what they used to sell as "SCART/TV Monitors", it's just a TV with RGB SCART abilities. An insane price indeed! It doesn't even sync up to 30Khz.
I would rather buy an old Multiscan NEC 3D (which goes to 15 and 30 khz) |
