NEXT Icons for Workbench
I was wondering if anyone remembers which disk/CD these were on? They was described as NEXT type icons for Workbench.
Back in about 94 I put my first hardrive in my A1200, (a whopping 20mb ), I installed WB 3.0 and proceeded to customize it as you did, and installed a icon pack which gave you NEXT type icons on WB 3, they matched the default grey of WB and as far as I remember, looked quite smart. I have wondered for years where I got them from and I think as I had no other access to such things at the time they must have come from a magazine cover disk/CD, although it is possible I got them from a compilation CD through my A500+ and A570 I also had at the time. I had the 500 and 1200 connected through ParNet so I could access the CD's from the 1200. Has anyone come across an icon pack such as this, and if so which disk/CD was it on? |

Found these on Scope Disk 48. My memory is a little vague about them but they do look what I remember and describe.
There is the NEXT type dock for Amiga Workbench that also brings some icons as brush files that must be converted. These don't look familiar though. Also, there is some NEXT type icons on Scope Disk 99, but these are colour and not Workbench grey. Might look smart on a 1.3 install. The grey Workbench ones definitely look smart on BetterWB. Nice icons. The RAM disk icon is ugly, but it is not bad. There is only these icons in the pack?
Where do you found this Scope disk 48, ptyerman? Or, can you put the disk in the zone for me, please? Last edited by Leandro Jardim; 23 November 2014 at 20:07. |

Yep, there is only these icons on the disk. I don't actually think these are the one's I am looking for originally, but they do look close from memory. I do seem to remember there been more of them in the pack.
Maybe the one's I used back in the early 90's have been lost to the ages, or maybe someone will come across them sometime. Who knows? I keep looking, but haven't come across any others yet. |

I have uploaded the complete contents of Scope Disks 48 and 99 as featured on the Almathera CDPD II CD-ROM to The Zone for you. The files of interest to you are in the 3D-ICONS folder on Scope Disk 48 and the ICON3D and ICON4D folders on Disk 99. Please note that I zipped them up in Windows, so it's possible that the attributes have not been preserved. Please compare them with the attributes of your existing icon sets and reset them if necessary before installing any. |

Just scroll down until you find them. (Hint: Look in the right column for files uploaded by prowler.) |
