Can someone confirm either way if Softhut or anyone else are still selling this? We really need to know so we can make this available to download (or not).

although you cant reach them through the website/email, watch out putting their stuff online. They might demand you pay them some money. http://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/Kang_Fu
PS. The game in question above, is still only available included on the PFS cd. Neither PFS nor the game is worth the money being asked imho. PPS. look at the wiki "history" on that page for more information. |

So you removed the stuff without any proof that they have the rights or that you still can buy the game? Not saying that it was a wrong decision, but I find it funny that except for APC/TCP noone seems actually keep their websites active when they claim their rights.

The music was shit and so I weighed up the risk of whether they really would take legal action, over how much I needed the hassle, and how much I cared, and decided to remove it. Check the version of the page from the 8th December. They provided a signed statement from the developer claiming to own it, but I am pretty sure they said who they say they are anyway. Their attitude was just as I expect from the land of Amiga ! (As in the situation could have been dealt with differently, with both them and us benefiting - We had tried to contact them before uploading the music, and had made the assumption, that the company was no more, and that putting up the music would be ok - and if anything give them promotion)

Okay, I see. Pretty dissapointing reaction for sure. I see the point if you can still buy it, but without that possibility... Ah well, guess we have to live with it.

In the end, I think my thought processes boiled down to, what if this serious sounding guy, actually has some money to take me to court over this - because I don't want to risk losing everything over some crummy game soundtrack. Now instead of a music track, they have a statement showing how they have reacted. If that's what they want, then fine.

I have already found an updated version of PFS 3.3 released byt Faith, I will only upload it, if one of the Mods allow it, as it seems they opted to take into account sofhut, despite their policy of not updating its website catalog contents since 2003, and being a pain in the arse to contact.

Guess that's indeed a good enough reason to move it
You can find it in the folder 'Amiga CD-ROM' with the filename 'Amiga Iso - Pfs3 Serial.zip' now |
