EAB/Lemon Super League 2014: Round 3 Game Vote

EAB/Lemon Super League 2014: Round 3 Game Vote
Starts: 00:01 February 9 Finishes: 23:59 february 22

Rules

Full rules are here.

Vote for five games.

Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.

Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. Edited votes will be discounted (unless told otherwise) so think before you post. Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon.

If a game comes in ECS and AGA versions, please state your preference in your vote. In the event the versions differ gameplay-wise, the version with most votes will be played. ECS is the default if you don't specify.

The winners of Round 2 have double voting power for Round 3. (1 = 10 points, 2 = 8 points etc). However, because the voting for the next round ends before the current round ends, players must place their votes and wait for the current round to end to see who will have their vote doubled. If one person wins both games in Round 2 their vote is trebled.

Tactical or nosey voters can see the Lemon voting thread here.

I think its fair to say that Leander AND Agony are a potential issue because both appear on the moderators score issues (i.e. 'Least Wanted') list. Here it is.

Games Where score leeching is possible....

Agony - Ist Boss(others too) Season 3 Rd 1
Battle Squadron - Level Repitition Season 3 Rd 4
Leander - infinitely respawning enemies Leander/EAB.
New Zealand Story - infinitely respawning enemies Season 2 Rd 1
Rodland - score leech Season 3 Rd 5
X-out - 2nd Level Boss. Super Comp Rd 10

There is no issue with voting for these games. People just need to be aware when we play them these issues do exist.

Yeh, I think the best way to deal with games like these is to offer a massive bonus for completing them.. eg. if a game has max score of 99,999 - add a bonus of 100,000 for completion

I've never completed Agony or Leander, although I don't remember the last time I tried to..

1. Agony
2. Unreal
3. Leander
4. Hybris
5. Stardust

Agony is jut like Project X and Unreal. Collect everything + shoot everything + key positioning = win, else you die. Its a very difficult game, and even the dedicated player will struggle massively to get beyond level 3. Leander is very easy and anyone with two hours to spare can get through it.

Voting is now over and here's how things stand...

1. Klax - 26
2. Agony - 18
3. Hybris - 17
4. Stunt Car Racer TNT - 16
5. Volfied - 14

Total votes: 17 - Total games voted for: 41

Klax is the strong favourite but with two double votes up for grabs potentially it could still change yet.

The final results for round two mean there's no change and Klax will be played in round three.
