First Samurai - sample

Always wondered where this sample came from, may have finally heard it right at the start?:

Looks like the uploader of this gameplay video of the SNES version shares your opinion:

. Don't you just love the speech effects on this one? "My sword!", "Hallelujah!" and even Queen's choir sample from "Flash Gordon"! Awesome stuff all around!

Fusion time with this thread perhaps?:

Qube, are you related to robdealer? I cannot imagine that two posts on the exact same subject, so close in time, would be a coincidence

@lilalurl - ye I spotted this sample the other day while watching the film, behind the movie audio, then tracked down the tracklist, went from there really! Darn its amazing how your memory of game sounds stays with you until the end of time! It's only taken from 1991 til now lol - 21 years. My bro hadn't realised I'd already spread the word.

Fuze the threads to make life easier if it's best. I'm glad we sourced this sound finally. The other musical samples were from the classical score pieces, and the sword hits were the tried n tested orchestral hits.. probably from some classic keyboard sample bank, lots of early 90s artists were playing around with orch hits.

The mystery is solved finally..
