Compute's Amiga disks

Just flicking through one of my many Compute mags, I catched a glimpse of a bi-monthly Amiga disk that they sold. It ws full of exclusive applications, games and stuff... name was Compute!'s Amiga Resource Disk

Does anybody know where to find these disks? I'd like to take a peek (also the C64 ones would be desirable ). A google search turned out with nothing

TIA!

Seems to me the one for the C64 was called Computes Gazette as this publisher produced many different mags for all the different micro's at the time

Not sure if I have any of the C64 disks however as a good portion of my collection has gone missing or awol

I think I have some of the Amiga disks somewhere on my Amiga (or on tapes) and I know I have some of the Gazette disks (images). I'll look around for them next week (really tied up until Tuesday).

I think the Compute!'s Gazette Disk can be found somewhere, so dont look into that for now. Besides, it's C64, what am I doing asking for them here?

But the Amiga Resource disks would be most welcome.

@Akira
Had a quick look at my mag disks and came across these. I have issues 53 - 62 plus 51 and a special collection. Is this the kind of thing you are looking for.

Hooooo

Hmm, almost a 100% app request. I don't see any game except Tetris Pro and Deluxe Galaga.
Maybe better put it into 'Apps req' section? Dunno ...

I remember Compute's Amiga Resource disks, though if I recall correctly, they weren't produced for very long before Compute went belly up. I wouldn't be at all surprised if I don't have all of them that were produced, so I'll see if I can't find them, convert them to adf's, and upload them to the Zone.

That would be awesome. I know for a fact I don't have many and it's unclear how long it would take me to find them.

Ok, I've found most of them, converted them and uploaded them to the Zone. The ones I've found so far are Volume 1, Issues 2 through 5, and Volume 2, Issues 1 and 3. I believe the only ones that are missing are Volume 1, Issue 1 and Volume 2, Issue 2. I'll keep looking for those, but if anyone else can find and upload those before I do, I won't be in the least bit offended.

Excellent! Thanks, Chuckles. I'll be in the studio for much of the weekend, but I'll see if I can scarf up any missing disks at the beginning of the week.

You're all more than welcome! It's the least I can do, seeing as how all of you guys (and EAB in general) have been so helpful to me in finding all kinds of missing titles, including many that I'd never even heard of. So thanks to all of y'all for all the help that you've always provided.

Just an update for y'all regarding the missing disks. I've managed to find Volume 2, Issue 2 and have converted it and uploaded it to the Zone. I still haven't managed to locate Volume 1, Issue 1 and I am running out of places to look. So Twist, if you (or anybody else) has that one anywhere, I'd be interested in snagging a copy myself.

I'm glad you liked them, Akira.

Just FYI, I'm not altogether sure that there actually IS a disk that corresponds to Volume 1, Issue 1. That issue may have only been the magazine, without a diskette. I'm basing that both on the fact that I can't find such a disk in my collection, and on the naming convention that was used for the diskettes. The disk name for the Volume 1, Issue 2 diskette shows up as Resource1 under AmigaDos, with the others being Resource2 through Resource7, so this may be the full collection. As I mentioned before, I didn't think that they were around for very long.

Thanks again, dude. I tend to agree with your theory that Resource 1 was the first disk. I'll check into this and see what info I have that might confirm this.
