Amigan was in possession of 1.6. i think the email adress isnt valid anymore :/

#1) i've been looking on my disks and on the ftp. no sign of 1.6 or something close to it.

I remember Maurizio Fabiani (Amigan) having sent me Version 1.7 bacause I already have it.
I will search in my historical email archive for version 1.6...

(And yes, I have already been on EAB 10 years ago but they where different times where passion for the amiga world wasn't with my soul...)

i am running 1.71 and it is quite solid, no crashes and is fastest BBS if you use telnetd.device...
i found only two problems so far...

1) if IEMSI handshake fail for any reason, you have to restart server... or else it will ignore all further **EMSI_ querries

2) you can't connect to local line with ANSI, only with CON... RIP untested...

and various smaller problems in some scripts, which i corrected... if you are good with scripting, you won't have any problems...

Have you the original 1.71 archive, could you send it to me ?

Also, could you send your modified script to DIFF against the original 1.71 archive and understand the differences ?

1.71 update in The Zone!
i don't know where i get it, but it was .lha... it seems i unpacked it and deleted original arhive :x
so here is an update in .rar
if anyone has original .lha, please up it to The Zone ^^

it is just ANSI and RIP watcher... anyway, that update didnt solved problem for me with local connection, so i connect with Term 4.8 via 127.0.0.1

and i can't share mine... i completly changed script logic and modified IEMSI part of autologin... it would be dangerous to share my scripts... hope you understand ^^

I have a couple of questions:

Do you know if Zeus is compatible with anything above OS 3.1 ? (3.5, 3.9, 4.1 FE ?)

Do you know if has been released an open version of Trapdoor or its key/source ?

i didn't try on 3.5/3.9... but it should work... it is still OS3...
on 4.1 FE it will probably work via OS2x/3x emulation, but that is only guessing since it it is still emulation and not perfect one ^^

i seen many Trapdoor keyfiles in my legally

obtained files from various ISO's... if it is ok, i can upload them all in single RAR in The Zone...

Beware that if Trapdoor is not a patched version and dectects the same key on the other side it will drop the connection.
This come from my memory of more than 20 years ago.

For production reason I will stay on OS 3.1 as any other distribution has come after the stop of any BBS software development and any change in OS could add some incompatibility.

Trapodoor is an automatically fido mail packet exchange system.
I used it to connect nightime to other BBS whose I exchanged either public and private mail.
