Buying NTSC AmigaCD32?

Has anyone got experience with moding it?
I found one link here for making it conversion to PAL,
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=13681
but its old and the main moding link is broken.

Also power supply is 110v so what do you suggest for this problem,
should i buy some converter?? as the seller suggest and what kind?
or should i do some hard work like explained here
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?...ght=cd32+power

Any other suggestions are welcome,
Thanks

The ones from china huh?

They START at €60 so I dont think you will be able to buy one for that price, but you never know.

Personally I think that this "collection" thing is stoopid. Amiga's will never be "worth" anything as antiques.. they made too many of them.

the chinese cd32's are not so new. they're new in the sense nobody used them, but they're quite battered after all the years waiting ... mine arrived in poor shape, nameplate sticking out, and various scrathes around. when I wanted to contact the seller, voila, he was gone ...

bottomline, be careful about chinese c32s. atleast I got a working unit. and I must say the lens is clean so probably it will serve a long time. you might not be so lucky ...

This seller is the same person who has been selling all the others from China.

The advert is identical.

I don't think so. Back then China was not a market as it is today. I have no idea how these units ended up in China. Maybe a production run intended for the US market never shipped to US after commodore went rupt ...

He's not from Germany. He's just registered himself in Germany. The cd32 will ship from China. AFAIK, anybody can register an account in another country.

I suppose you could ask them to test it before they shipped it.
There's a version with the 230V PS.
