Hi guys,

I have one extra fully assembled TF328 that uses the mouser chips. If anybody would like to buy it off me please pm me. You can have it at cost - I will use the cash to order some experimental rams from UTSource.

Like Alen I have two TF328`s for sale, just recouping some costs so they go for just a tenner over cost price.
Fully tested both 5v rams , One Mouser and one Hynix

I have numbered these for my records

So now that these are flying out to users, let me ask a few clarifying questions about the board.

Clock jumper : enables/disables the board?
External power: to provide power to an IDE device that doesn't get it from the 2.5" connector?
There's another jumper there below the RAM CPLD. What is it for?
The bottom-left pin array is for JTAGing, right? I guess we can update the firmware if there are improvements, a guide would be cool if there isn't one already (Haven't checked the TerribleFire thread enough).

Excited about this!!! Thanks supaduper and alenppc for getting these out already, and of course plasmab for all the work put on these, getting more RAM working, making PCBs for people to get etc. etc.!

The clock jumper doesn't disable the board at present. But I'll sort that with a firmware trick.

The other jumper is for an NMI button but I have not tried to use it yet. Its not really a priority. Its just a contact closure to the muxcpld.

Everything else is labelled

@kipper i have personally tested 50 boards in a CD32 inserted "blank" as you did... not one failure to boot.

When you ordered did you select 6/6 as the process?

Just being nosey Steve, does that test signal and power integrity ? so a failure to launch means board is duff ?

It would fail if there were any shorts on the data bus or address bus or power.

So its a quick and dirty test to check for shorts.

Yeah I know "External power" is clearly labelled, but I was asking, in which case should we use it? Because 44 pin IDE devices get power from the IDE header.

As for firmware upgrades, what do we need to be able to do them? Would this work?

You only need external power for card programming. You need a Xilinx programmer (something like this: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Xilinx-Platfo...item4d42a45adc)

Although to be fair, if your card is already working, you have 0 reason to change its firmware. It will most likely only be needed to address different RAM chips compatibility.

Some CF/IDE adapters need EXternal power to work, like the 40 pin ones

its for use when programming the board outwith a CD32. Its for supplying external power to the board.

EDIT: that programmer can be made to work but not from impact. You need a xilinx one.

OK thanks for all clarifications!

I would most definitely want to upgrade the firmware if disabling by jumper is to be implemented! I really want this feature, I thought it was in already. Don't fancy unplugging and plugging the board or riser a lot.

Yeah it should be a case of disabling the Zorro Autoconfig when a clock is not present. I havent had time to sort everything needing done.

I cant believe i sold 45 boards in 24 hours. that is crazy!!!
