I think you're right about the Friend OS or platform, and if you look at the FriendUP team there are a couple of Amiga personalities there.

There's another little puzzle in the web source now; the programmers are taking over!

If you look up the quote, it finishes with "Which was that the programmers were taking over", which I think is the message. Or maybe we should be worrying that the machines are taking over. Who knows.

It would indeed be quite an intrigue if Friend was joining the Amiga soap. They did raise quite some millions from investors. So would have had the funds to pay off Amiga Inc debts....
