Kipper, can you tell us which A500's will require the CPU adaptor? In your pic below it looks like you are not using the CPU adaptor.

Just out of curiosity. What is the issue with the RAM and CDTV's?
Is it to do with the CDTV's Autoconfig DMAC? http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=899904&postcount=4 If it is that, it should be possible to modify the CPLD code to work in a CDTV. Yaqube talks through how the elbox CDTV/2 autoconfig worked here : http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=499184&postcount=3 |

@TjLaZer.
for testing i just use the fastmem board directly to the cpu socket. i found that using the small cpu adapter that i am including free with the fastmem board that the case is able to be closed on all motherboard versions as it moves the cpu further to the back of the casing. If you take a look at the cpu adapter it is small enough (width wise) so that it does not sit on top of the ROM (in all mobo versions). This allows the fastmem board to actually sit lower and further back in the case while still leaving the ROM free to do a little bit of modding later One thing to note, the Fastmem board sits directly on the CPU adapter, there is no riser required. First you mount the CPU to the fastmem board, then mount the fastmem board to the CPU adapter and lastly attach the riser to the CPU socket. more info is available here... http://www.kipper2k.com/amigaforsale/ @Alexh. from what i have been told it is the DMAC that prevents the autoconfig of the RAM in the CDTV, i don;t know enough to be able to rewrite the code to autoconfig the CDTV Last edited by kipper2k; 14 November 2013 at 12:48. |

Do you have the source code for the CPLD? I don't mind taking a look if you do?

It's written in verilog with English comments so should be very easy to create a CDTV compatible one. I'll look at it tonight.
Do you have a CDTV for testing? |

that would be great. There are quite a few people with CDTV's that have been out in the cold for quite a while, would be nice to get something for them |

If you are successful in making your expansion card work on the CDTV then I would be interested in buying an 8mb one.

I have a couple of PC's with parallel port, there are too many old skool programs that won't work with USB and the more M$ upgrade their OS the less compatible it is. I still use Win XP for my own computers. It was a sad day for me when my suppliers at work told me no more supplying computers with XP, you must buy Win 7... sigh!. They took an XP OS of 750 MB and made it Win 7 @ 18GB... ridiculous! |

I was the same with XP, and I skipped Vista. But I have to say I really like 7. Hate 8 though!
When will the boards be ready to ship? |
