Quick question about audio - hooked my Amiga up to the stereo and noticed I'm only getting sound and music out of one speaker. Volume is noticeably lower too. No issue with any other non ScummVM games, not a cable problem. I've set up AHI correctly (I hope!) It's not a big deal, but just wondering have I missed out on anything set up wise? I've an Amiga 1200 Apollo 060 64mb running ClassicWB 3.9 Thanks!

Thanks Nova. I've checked my AHI version number, it's 4.5 However when I go on aminet or the AHI site and download what it says is 4.18, install it, check the version number, it's coming up as 4.5......bit stumped here!

Noob - Apologies
Hi,
I thought I'd give ScummVM a bash on my A1200, but I'm having major issues. I downloaded the latest file from aminet (ScummVM_AGA_030.lha) and installed it on my Work partition. When I start the application from the icon in WB, there is a brief pause before the screen goes dark, then grey. There is a lot of HD activity, then a further pause before I see garbled graphics (like it's trying to display the interface). It then hangs for a period of time before going to red guru meditation. I've browsed through this thread but didn't see any issues similar to mine, unless I missed something... My setup is as follows: A1200 1D4 KS3.1, OS3.9 (8Gb CF hard disk) w/ Indivision AGA Mk2CR, ACA1233n 030 accelerator. I've checked the AHI settings and the icon information settings: Stacksize 40960 Audio_Thread_Priority=1 ;CLOSE_WB AHI is configured with unit 0 as 14 bit stereo calibrated at 8000hz. AHI version is 4.23 Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance, AndyC |

Any other hacks/patches? It should work okay on your system Have a look in the root folder for an error log file. Are you using one of the FAST modes in AHI? It will be slow otherwise. Another option is to try and get it working on a clean OS 3.9 WinUAE setup and see if you can work out what is different about your real Amiga setup that is causing problems. |

Hi mate,
There are a few bits and pieces running - I'm using an OS3.9 Classic WB CF card setup. Let me see if I can work out what is running on startup… Cheers, AndyC |

So, a quick scan of my startup-sequence and user-startup yields the following (some of these I have no idea what they are doing...):
Cyreq StackAttack Anticlick XFDPatch XPKMasterPrefs BorderBlank OutlineFont FPPrefs IconBeFast FBlit FText BlazeWCP TagLife PatchRAM CyberBugFix (which you mentioned above!) WBStartup contains only a few apps: AmiDock ASyncWB MagicMenu MyClock DefIcons RawBInfo ReqAttack ToolsDaemon Freewheel Thanks in advance! AndyC |

So, disabling CyberBugFix seems to have made a difference.
The GUI is now loading up, albeit with a small amount of graphics glitching. But when I click on "Add Game", it crashes to a Guru Meditation... AndyC |

Also, since deactivating CyberBugFix, when I click on an icon or a window titlebar, the screen briefly flashes and you can see a half height (squashed) image of the workbench.
Very odd! |

Scummvm like my other ports uses mostly AmigaOS functions, unfortunately this means that third party patches can break compatible, scummvm runs perfectly on a 'clean' AmigaOS installation.
I can't tell why it still isn't working for you though, normally disabling cyberbugfix is sufficient. |

Have some problem with the audio on Simon the sorcerer 2 and some other games when using Scummvm Aga. The speech works fine but the music sounds terrible.. Sounds like when you try to play a data cd in a normal cd player. If you understand what I mean.
I have tried different settings. The music sound works when I trie the ScummVM Wos version but not with Aga version. |

Video setup guide -> [ Show youtube player ] What version of ScummVM are you running? If you are trying to decode compressed audio in real-time then it will be too much for the poor old 68K CPU. |

All of Amiga ports that use AHI will run faster if you follow the video guide, not just ScummVM |
