Irving Gould & the LBM..? Not good enough to be Amiga mascots?
Tell me who else has done more to make the Amiga what it is?

You'll be telling me Big (A_Hole) Bill's face isn't in the running next!
They are all big girls if you ask me.
(or at least a word referring to 'female anatomy')

Oooo, I remember the days when Friday was for boozing...

...how about this for an Amiga logo?

Too pessimistic?

I rather like this one:

Ohhh - mascot!

Part of the problem is that a "mascot" would have to be done by Commodore. People would consider Sonic as Sega's mascot, but because it was a Sega product (and therefore only for Megadrive, etc) and Mario or maybe Link for Nintendo. (Granted, this is sort of 'back in the day' when Sega was making hardware and exclusive to its own consoles.) And this may not be a hard and fast rule, and there's other exclusive titles, but just in general.

On the Amiga, a company didn't have the incentive from Commodore to only make something on Amiga and not port it to ST, PC, SNES or whatever. The Boing ball would be a Commodore thing (as far as I remember) or the Juggler, but those are kind of weak mascots and not game characters.

But if I had to vote, I'd go with Amy the Squirrel, even if the idea of fur-boobs always disturbed me a little, followed by those anime chicks.

We could always make a new mascot, and all contribute a little bit. I agree that it should be a sexy female mascot, since the Amiga has always been regarded as female.

You know if Amy the squirrel has furry boobs, how furry do you think her muff is, I've been wondering about that now....

I guess she would probably "flow with the mainstream" now, and have it all shaved and smooth...

@jope

thats because they have 'THAT' effect on you isn't it.... *snicker*

@all

anyways, although its not overly my taste all the yiffy stuff, there has been the Amy Squirrel for a long time, but if there ever was a mascot it would have to be "The Survivor" of the beaten but still alive Amiga.

I'd vote for the Turrican guy.. the games were released on other machines as well (they were great on the C64) but I think they were without a doubt best on the Amiga. The music is so awesome
