Couldn't agree more if we are talking about the arcade version. Defintely one of if not my absolute favourite arcade games. Still play it all the time vai MAME32 using all the hardest DIP switch settings
...as for the Amiga port though, unfortunately rubbish IMHO |

Addictive Games:
Supercars I and II IK+ DOTC Sensi Soccer Ports of Call & Oil Imperium and last but not least the Cactus Version of "RISK" very simple yet absolutely addictive!!! Btw, how about adventure games from Infocom, Magnetic Scrolls, Sierra and so on. I liked to play them for hours and hours and would replay them even when I knew every detail (like Space Quest III - absolutely fabulous game!), but do these games also fall in the "addictive" category? I think this might fit more to sports and skill games which are played over and over again, because the gameplay is binding you. What do you think? |

I grew up playing the arcade version, when it came out on the Amiga I was sorely disappointed. The Sega Master System version is much better than the Amiga port IMHO... If you haven't done so already, have a bash on the arcade version via MAME and you'll see why I say the Amiga port sucks. Now Shadow Dancer on the Amiga, that was a pretty good port |

Mm, Poing was great and addictive. I loved this game.
Buuut, there was one single game which made me keep thinking "God (If you exist) how could you allow someone to create such deadly hard game Not for C64, but for Amiga?". Of course I mean Adventures of Mini Dash (AOMD). It was so hard that I played it for hours over and over. Until I stopped, dunno why. About half of a year ago I downloaded it again and finished on Winuae but with help of Save and Load feature :P. Someday, I'll make AOMD remake, and the whole world will be able to taste this drug . Rainbow Islands - I know I'll never beat it but it's the game I regularly fire up even now.

Oh yes, Monster Island is a killer. I find the arcade version much easier though, I can't do it on the Amiga version.

Ah! A poll I don't have any trouble answering.
Elite. I've played this to death on every computer I've ever owned. ( And under emulation for some I haven't ) How sad is that? |
