The show must go on.

Just mp3, wav and flac please :-)
"Whens the the Mas Player Evolution Evolution with MPEG 2, html,Java decoding? " Maybe if we connect rasberry PI's GPIO ports to the printerpoort we can have a multi format audioplayer. Last edited by voyager; 13 February 2012 at 16:00. |

I'll buy one first, next month another (just for the money) EDIT: It seems my money says just one.... They have a good price, although Amigamaniac told me his will be extremely cheap too, but his will be a clone version, not an evolution. I prefer this last.
Mi doubt is if somehow it could be used as a soundcard, not only a player (you know, as it's an evolution...). At least to know in what does the evolution consist. Last edited by Retrofan; 02 September 2013 at 01:47. |

MAS Payer Evolved Prototype
Heres some pics I took a few weeks ago.
While testing it. I will host the pics on our server, just having trouble with the server displaying images at the moment. Always pumping for information, , lol. |

Uff! It looks very different! Where do those cables on it's sides go?
And in what does the evolution consist? |

It also has a joystick port pass through (used to power it), so you can still use the joystick port we are getting power from. |

Power from the Joystick port??
Man, that's so delightfully retro!!!!!!!! A thing of beauty!! Your timing is good too.. Got a b-day coming up and my wife never knows what to get for me... (You timed it about this way with the ACAs, and she got me one of those from you guys... So this is looking really nice... Hmmm.. ;-) Hey, Novacoder? Would this help out ScummVM AGA quite a bit or just a bit or ??? ;-) desiv |

Nice you ask Novacoder, as I've sent him a couple of PM's about this after the delusion he's got with the Delfina... (and to Gibs for the same reason too)... he hasn't answered yet... and this question is like mine (more/less) about if it can work somehow as a sound card.

Amigamaniac has told me more about his batch today
"...mine should be cheaper :-D I'm guessing about AUD$30-40 for my near-clone of the original MAS Player. I say near-clone as I have sourced QFP MAS chips, not PLCC, so I have to design the PCB myself from scratch due to the different pinout. The pins are identical in function and number, but they are in different places on the chip." Just to have in consideration. I've already said I will prefer the evolution of Amigakit. |

Yeah that's why the original MAS-Player gets the +5V from the Serial Port.
Still kinda weird running a cable that far from the Joystick port (especially if it's gonna be used in an A600. Serial is so close |

This is pretty cool and I will be tempted but the unwieldliness of all those cables and connectors is a little off putting. Any chance something like this could be built as an internal clockport device?
Also how does the Paula mixer work, I don't see a balance pot or anything, software controlled? |
