A500/A590 for A1200

I have an A500 and A590 i am willing to swap for a basic 1200 if this is reasonable!

It has 2 GB HD - has checksums, but was working until i started putting shit on it!

1 MB chip, 2 MB Fast

Kickstart 2.something

What do you think?

If the 1200 is upgraded i may be able to sweeten the deal!

Do you know how to repair Amigas yourself? I would LOVE that A500 setup, but the only spare A1200 I have is in need of new capacitors, and possibly a new floppy drive too (maybe even other repairs are needed but I have no way to test it). To me, it seems like it might just be the audio capacitors, just like too many of our other Amigas

In any case I'll test that A1200 tomorrow and at least see if it boots up to Workbench and see if the mouse and joystick ports work.

In this case, the capacitors being dead means there's no sound output, and maybe it interferes with the mouse port too.

odds are that if there is 'no' sound at all it most likely also burnt out a few traces on the MB too...usually get a crackling like sound if its just the caps...this isnt a difficult job but time consuming and must be done by someone who has soldering skills for sure...
