Shurrican (Turrican clone) new 68k game!

Great news for all Turrican fans out there.
Shurrican will need a gfx card and some fastram.

It´s still under development but xperience2003 (the author) wants to release a test version soon.

I'm not too keen on games that use a mix of high and low resolutions (note the high res background and low res sprite), but nonetheless, a new amiga game is good news

Turrican, Shurrican, I'm all for it. The Turricans are some my favourite platformers of all time so to my way of thinking, more == better.

Awesome news
Let's just hope that it'll run without a GFX card. Can't wait to play a new Turrican remake/clone/whatever
Thanks for the info viddi

the name is kind of gay. Shurrican sounds like it's Turricans wife or turrican in drag

Turrican is cool

Because it was ripped from the low res original of course. Keeping the sprites the way they were gives it a nice retro taste, although I do agree that it looks a little off with the high res backgrounds.

WOW!!! I'm really starting to wish I had a graphics card now. It's great that more people are making Amiga games now!

Given the fact that only about 10% of Amiga owners own graphics cards, its a little crazy!?.. Don't get me wrong though, i think its brilliant that this game is being made, but AGA was never really truly fully utilised when the A1200 was in its prime and i think the A1200 is more than up to the job!, Sure maybe not hires graphics on AGA but this is supposed to be for a retro system anyway, so if i want hires graphics i will just go back to my PC and pump out some games on my GeForce.

Give me OCS/ECS/AGA lowres anyday.. yep, hires is nice but hardly essential

Gfx card means WinUAE will work too (shouldn't it?), so it goes beyond that 10%.
