World’s Largest Video Game Collection!

http://www.vintagecomputing.com/index.php/archives/103

Now that’s what I'm talking about!

So, all you proud collectors think you’ve got a lot of stuff, well you ain’t seen anything until you’ve witness this massive collection and I mean nothing!

This is by far and away the most insane games collection I’ve ever encountered!

I might as well have a nice raid on that guys collection!
I’m sure they’ll be some cool shooters to pick up!

I guess I’ve got a lot of catching up to do now, don’t I?
Bring’em Them Oneth!

Try just to figure out how much it cost to collect that many games.
It seems that whole basement is just a collection room.

Good find!

And yes, we all have a big catching up to do.

Wonder if all of us put our collections togethet would have at least 10% of this collection.

Wow, that is massive.

I know a Japanese guy who has 1.5TB (shared on a peer-2-peer network) of games for these systems:

... 3DO
... Amiga CD
... Dreamcast
... FM Towns
... GBA
... Jaguar-CD
... Playstation
... Playstation 2
... N64
... Mega-CD
... PC-FX
... PC88
... PC98-CD
... PC9821-CD
... PC Games
... PCE-CD
... PCE-DUO
... PCE-SCD
... Playdia
... Saturn
... X68000

He has some pretty rare stuff like 346 x FM Towns games

Of course they are not originals though...

The FM Towns hey!. That was a machine that didnt last long at all!!.. i remember a competition in ACE magazine where you could win it, and they had the entry card stuck to the front of the magazine for which i still have. and its still stuck to my copy of ACE. lol.

I'll have to take it off one day and read what it says on the back.

I wonder did he make that kid before or after he started to collect the games.

More likely before, or neighborhood had to help a bit...

And this collection is nothing if compared to Fred’s Barbie Collection.

LOL

At the moment I'm trying to get as many FM Towns / Marty games that I can for use with Unz. These are very hard to come by. Currently I have about 70 with another 10 coming in a week or so. Unfortunately I usually have to trade 1 for 1 so as you can imagine it's taken me a while to get even 70

Yes, it looks impressive.

The FMTown games I saw on the net were ISOs.

Some people just like to collect stuff, including me, and IMHO its better to collect something you enjoy and use, rather than just collectiing things for the collecting itself (stamps and so on). Even if you don't use your entire collection.
