Winfellow, a superb emualtor that is unpolished and still cannot do AGA chipset emulation. But often, it is much more compatable and faster than WinUAE. I wait for news as well. Good thread, Paul.

Hmmm, this thread would be kewler, if there IS something new anyway, since I got some exotic hardware here (well I don´t think it is, but WinFellow and some other programs seem to think that way ) I hope there will be out a new Version soon

Apparently...
Torsten and the rest of the guys are currently hard working in their 'real jobs' and don't find much time to work on it. Although I've been assured there may be a beta released soon

Interesting, PJ.
S4murai, you mean that your video card has some problem, or your screen? I don't know, but I remember you having this problem on the AEN board a while ago. I will send you my WinFellow A 500 setup in the ADF Zone if you like. It is windowed and all. |

Don't ever be sorry to open an old thread...many times a thread is forgotten and is revived with very pleasant results! Anyway, this thread is the kind that needs updating, 7!

Well at least news of no news is better than no news at all. At least that shows that the project isn't dead.
It's so darn annoying when you have some software you'd like to see a new release from, but they never seem to update the news or site at all until long after you've stopped checking the site regularly because you don't expect things to happen. Then you stumble into the site again some day only to find that the project is now officially dead |

Would it be a good idea to join this thread with the one I started some time ago at. http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1516 We don't need it twice. Anyway I just visited the winfellow website and noticed that only The Netherlands mirror works. I hope they do carry on with the development. |

I also hope they carry on the development. Winfellow has been the only Amiga emulator which has worked good for me. The new WinUAE has managed to fix a lot of problems I've been having which had made it practically annoying to use, but still it's not too good. Winfellow on the other hand has worked for me since the second version I downloaded.

Well, I´m pretty sure they keep up the development of the Emu only not so fast as it would be wished by some people But most of the Emulator guys got a real life outside and I think a real job is more important to take care of (as is a familly) as a freeware product ...... anyway, they will continue, I´m pretty sure

Whilst I admit I do use WinUAE,(albeit an old one in 08.8r8), from what I've used with WinFellow, it seems to run fast even with older PC's like mine. It just seems to concentrate on the basics which is what I think most users would want.
As Retroman stated, WinFellow, like WinUAE are free products so we can't complain,(& without the adware hassles of some of the so-called "free" products out there.). It's be great if they won lotto-they'd might have more free time then to do what they like!! Sorry 4 "stealing" your thread Paul-I couldn't find it again & thought it'd been deleted! |

I primarily use Winfellow when emulating and only turn to use WinUAE when the game I try to play doesn't work with Winfellow.

I hope to do some work on the website, since it needs an update. If there is news to report about a new release, i will post it at this board. This is a great board! Keep up to good work! P.S.: Paul, I'll try to get the American mirror back online this evening and thanks for emailing me. Last edited by Worfje; 28 October 2001 at 16:52. |

It was my pleasure. Currently i'm reading some old threads to see if there are still some issues i can reply to. It's nice to see such an active board with usable information about troubles with WinFellow.
I'll keep you all informed. Last edited by Worfje; 28 October 2001 at 21:50. |

Threats? I didn't see any threats.
I think my biggest problem with Winfellow would either be a game failing to load or the sprites being gone. |
