DPaintIII problem loading animations

Hi, I'm hoping to rework some old animations made in DPIII on a A2000. I'm working with WinUAE 4.4.0. When I try to open the files in DPIII, I get the message:

"can't animate with page larger than screen".

No matter how I set the Page Size or Screen in DPIII, I get this error when trying to load my files. I can set the page and screen sizes to make new animations, but can't load the old ones, which I seem to recall were made as full screen overscan. I can preview the animations via AmigaVision, so I know the files are valid. Can anyone help me to figure out how to configure things so that I can open these in DPIII? Thanks!

I don't think this has anything to do with emulation. But earlier dpaint versions can have weird compatibility problems with almost anything.

Different KS version? (did you use KS 1.3 or KS2.0+ when creating them?)
Overscan settings?
Picasso96? It can affect operation of dpaint (Most DP versions are not RTG friendly) even if current mode is not Picasso96 mode.

Are you also using the same version of DPaint you used Back then? I have found there are small variations in version numbers which could have an effect.

I just noticed you asked the same question in another part of the form. I would suggest not doing that in the future as it dilutes the discussion. Often solutions happen when we see other replies which triggers new thoughts. @moderators, could we join @kjf’s two threads?
