What happened to the font?

The new font on HOL is really awful compared to how it used to look, it's so thin with that weird faded effect. Very frustrating to read, I'm surprised no-one else hasn't mentioned this? Any chance to change it back to the old style in the future?

I hate new HOL layout and it's a mistake they changed it. As a result I won't be visiting it.
You don't change vintage things. It's like someone started to change original Amiga's hardware/software now. It kills nostalgia.

I was a big fan of the Advanced Search, and I'm glad we still have one.

I think the new style looks good, it gives the place some character still - maybe it's a bit too "fluffy" in some spots, but that's a minor gripe.

Thin fonts can be hard to read, especially if contrast is lowered or there's bright text on a dark background. Perhaps there could be a toggle in the corner to switch to high-contrast text and a higher-legibility font for affected users? It could be just a few CSS rules.

Droid Sans, Lato and Montserrat are good choices, as is plain old Verdana at these sizes.

I think the Genres and Explore sections on the front page are a good start into finding games to play that you haven't before. (This has nothing to do with the styling of fonts, ofc.)

You are not the 1st one but feedbacks are split in various threads.
Do a search with title "HOL v3" and you will find most of the comments.
