By a very loose definition of "work". How well does a small insignificant site like Youtube work again (and I do mean _work_, not kind-of-works-when-using-scripts-and-jumping-through-hoops)?

But I can browse and watch videos, log in and comment etc. I think I only have the fullscreen script enabled for that to be able to play videos more smoothly and with less cpu load. And embedded YT videos, for example, here on EAB do work just fine too. Last edited by jPV; 07 May 2020 at 20:59. |

Besides, there's no reason to support chromium's (ie google's) monopolization and enforcement of web standards when there's Firefox. |

Has anyone touched the Timberwolf code? Is it still a bit daft on OS4?

@jPV:
You made a YouTube video about how to access YouTube!? If they can watch your video, they have no need to watch it. If they need to watch it, they can't. :-D |

Ok, I was just wondering what you mean by "scripts-and-jumping-through-hoops", because it pretty much works like this without any scripts. I only have that one script to make fullwindow playback smoother, but don't know why you'd need them in plural...

If someone wants to use OS4 as there main OS why not it might be quite fun - maybe when I'm on holiday
But The Title of thread is the dream over and I think it's rather disappointing that Hyperion couldn't even make a decent Web Browser after all that effort of Porting the OS to PPC and everything else yes it's rather disappointing. |

Today I switched to using Linux for web browsing because though the latest version of Firefox my XP machine can run is less than 2 years old, it now won't render some web pages properly (with fatal results). Of course the new Firefox is also a bit daft in other ways, but I have to put up with it. It's like 1995 all over again. Some things never change! |
