Cannon Fodder/SWOS Xmas Demo Disc

Hello All

Just remembering a demo disc that had a playable level of Cannon Fodder where you ran across a Sensible World of Soccer football pitch and could blow up the players (and ref?).

Also a demo disc of Sensible Soccer where the ball was a bomb and blew up periodically killing the players near to it... this resulted in matches being played with only a couple of players left on either side.

This was Amigaing at it best in my opinion.

Would love to play both of these again.

Who else remembers playing these? Any other similar demos?

SimonCD32,

Yes, see here:

... Sensible Massacre: England v Holland
... Sensible Massacre 2: Bulldozer Butcher

You can download the .ADFs from the EAB File Server or from Amiga Magazine Rack

The first part of your post sounds like "Cannon Soccer" - a Cannon Fodder/Sensi Soccer mash-up that was on the coverdisk of issue 54 of Amiga Format. You can find & download it on the Amiga Magazine Rack as well.

...what the .ADF files?

Probably not, you would need either "WHDLoad" or "CDLoad32" versions

great how we are educating each other... I'd not heard of sociable soccer until i read your post. It looks FAB.

Do people still play competitive sensible soccer? I recon I could hold my own against the best of them at that game. Any advice on getting SWOS (the one where you can do a career) to run on the CD32? I understand there is a download somewhere but not stumbled across it yet...

@SimonCD32:
Yes there is also a version, where you can play online against other people. The guys from www.sensiblesoccer.de have a lot of online cometitions like leagues, cups and so on. One time per year there is the official SWOS World Cup, where a lot of Sensible Soccer players going to visit a specific location somewhere in europe to play for the world championship of SWOS (have a look here -> https://www.vice.com/en_uk/article/p...e-no-other-925 ).
