Hi Jeff
There's a YouTube video from 2013 demonstrating an HxC working with an Apple IIc computer. It mentions a special firmware and custom cable. I couldn't find any more info, did you ever release it? |

[ Show youtube player ] No i didn't or at least i didn't release the firmware used into this video. This was a special firmware made for the Game Story exposition at Paris (at the "Grand Palais"), prepared and designed by the "MO5" association (of which i am a member). http://mo5.com/asso/game-story/ The visitors could play to all presented machines. All machines with floppy drive were fitted with HxC Floppy Emulators. The Apple II was one on them, but of course a firmware modification was needed. This exposition was moved later to Quebec at the Museum of Civilization in 2013 during a full year. An huge success. http://www.cocktailsandgelato.com/20...n-game-on.html http://mo5.com/asso/wp-content/uploa...eu-video-2.jpg Back to the subject : i didn't release this firmware "publicly" because it still need to be polished, the need of a custom cable is clearly a problem and there is already some better solutions available for Apple II. This was a kind of "proof of concept" used during 2 years by two Museums. Last edited by Jeff_HxC2001; 30 September 2017 at 18:01. |

There's only one floppy-emulator device that I know of that works with the IIc (called Unisdisk) but apparently its not sold anymore.
The other solutions I found are expansion cards for the bigger Apple II models, and they're quite expensive (over 100$). I currently have a Gotek and the USB HxC unit, it would be great if you could release this firmware for them some day! |

Bottom of the page says "out of stock".
In any case, it looks quite limited: "Supports up to 36 images on one SD Card". |

To complete my answer : You can already use gotek hxc/sd HxC with Apple II with current/normal firmwares, but you will need the famous HDDD adapter :
http://torlus.com/floppy/forum/viewt...hp?f=19&t=1177 I know that this not available too and quite expensive but... |

Hi,
- Fix : IMG/IMA/DSK and ST files are now visible in normal/direct browsing mode. Is it correct that they are visible, but you cannot mount them? I tried some Amstrad .dsk files and got '!bad file' Thanks |

Soon for the CPC DSK. The support of this format must be done very carefully. I will use a special way for all the next formats. Will be fun to code .

HxC Floppy Emulator file selector Version 1.65 released.
For SD HxC Floppy Emulator, HxC Gotek and even Cortex FW now... : https://github.com/jfdelnero/HXCFE_f...selector_V1_65 Main changes : - Major code rewrite/refactoring to prepare the next releases. - Pure text interface to port it to others machines : No more graphical dependency. - You can mount/switch to any emulators connected to the machine. Up to 4 drives on Amiga. - Cortex Firmware compatibility added for the Amiga and PC/SDL version : It seems that this firmware use the HxC Direct Access protocol... SELECTOR.ADF available for this firmware : http://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_d...r/SELECTOR.ADF - Search/filter function fixed. - Various glitches and bugs corrected. Let me know if you have any issue/glitch |

First thanks for all these recent improvements to this FW. I own an MK3 and i had the same results about writing data with AR MK3 on a old release of your FW. Does Amigoun sent you his HFE ? If not, i can test it again with last FW next week-end. |

Update done, oled display and third button works.
Though, now I don't know how it supposed to work? I changed to config file on usb stick to this one Config_Files/Normal_mode/HXCSDFE.CFG When I turn it ON without usb stick, it goes directly settings. I can change settings, surf menus etc. When I turn it ON with usb stick it found first game wich I have in usb stick and opens funtions menu. I can change image name, change it to drive b, write protect it etc. How do I change image? Now I'm cursed to play baby joe for ever. |
