Added "hard_drive_0_type = rdb" and reinstalled. Now I get "Not a DOS disk in device DH0" upon boot. Progress, though :-)

Please check an AmigaOS 4 installation guide for FS-UAE or WinUAE, what kind of file system you should use for your AmigaOS boot partition (or file system handler not properly installed on the HD, etc), my guess is that there's something wrong there. |

Thank you for your patience. I missed setting the DOS type of the DH0: partition to SFS\2 (0x53465302). Reinstalled with that and now I get a Guru Meditation upon boot instead of the "Not a DOS disk in device DH0" error.

Are you sure you have installed proper AmigaOS 4 drivers for the A2065? I think I had to download a driver from Aminet to be able to use the A2065. Quote:

Perhaps try with FFS instead if that's an option, since that can be natively booted without a file system handler on the partition (if that works, that indicates your problem was a mis-configured installation). |

One core is not the best for PPC emulation.
It work but is needed 2 cores machine or you will have a PPC running like an 68020 ... On my quad G5 in the best conditions (linux PPC) i can have a 604e 350mhz speed using 2 cores. No opportunity to have kvm :-( |

E-UAE is dedicated for PPC.
AmigaOS4 support G3 and G4, so maybe someone do natively handling CPU like emulation Apple Mac ShapeShifter/Fusion on M68K and iFusionPPC on PPC. |

I'm using the Windows portable version of 2.5.32dev, I have the qemu-uae plugin extracted in the Plugins folder as noted here:
Code:
Initializing plugins - checking C:\Users\icebalm\AppData\Local\fs-uae\plugins-dir resolve_path D:/Amiga\Plugins (absolute) - using "Plugins" directory "D:/Amiga/Plugins" loading plugins from D:/Amiga/Plugins Checking D:/Amiga/Plugins\libcapsimage-windows-x86\plugin.ini Loading D:/Amiga/Plugins\libcapsimage-windows-x86 -> D:/Amiga/Plugins\libcapsimage-windows-x86\5.1fs1 Checking D:/Amiga/Plugins\qemu-uae-windows-x86\plugin.ini Loading D:/Amiga/Plugins\qemu-uae-windows-x86 -> D:/Amiga/Plugins\qemu-uae-windows-x86\3.6.0qemu2.2.0 Code:
PPC: Loading QEmu implementation PLUGIN: Looking up "qemu-uae" PLUGIN: Checking "D:\Amiga\Windows\fs-uae\qemu-uae.dll" PLUGIN: Looking up "libqemu-uae" PLUGIN: Checking "D:\Amiga\Windows\fs-uae\libqemu-uae.dll" WARNING: Error loading qemu-uae plugin WARNING: PPC: Error loading qemu-uae plugin Also, I did try copying the qemu-uae.dll into \windows\fs-uae as both it's original name and libqemu-uae.dll however the same error occurs? Is the version of the plugin on http://fs-uae.net/plugins outdated to the point where 2.5.32dev won't load it? |

@icebalm it is possible the .dll isn't loaded because of a DLL dependency issue.
Can you try with the newly released 2.5.33dev? (you have to update the plugin(s) for this version too, please delete all traces of the old plugin first, including the copies you made). (I just tested the new 2.5.33dev portable with the qemu-uae 3.6.0qemu2.2.0fs1 plugin on Windows right now, and it works here) |

It didn't seem necessary anymore, people can open new threads for specific problems
