Super Nibbly, the Nibby Nibble clone
Hi,
Today, I propose another small game to get WHD'fyed : Super Nibbly (1993, CompuTec Verlag) a commercial occurrence of the Nibby Nibble-mania ! Not sure someone can provide a "working image" of this rare game, but let's hope he does. |

Hello Deleauvive,
I'm the programmer of this game :-) At that time I had an Amiga with HD and made sure the game runs from Workbench so there is no need for WHD. The readme "HDinstall.readme" on the disk explaining what to do. I can supply you with a working copy of the game but its easy to find it already on the Internet. Try here: http://www.planetemu.net/index.php?s...wrom&id=341833 Bye, Chrisanth |

Hi Chrisanth,
my compliments for your nice game! I see that the copy on Planet Emulation is cracked... was the original protected in some way? As an Amiga lover, can I ask you if you could provide a dump of the original, not cracked? |

Hello Supamax,
thanks for the compliments! This is really a long time ago so its nice to see that people still like to play the old games. The game had no copy protection. So the lame crackers just added the extra message. |

Hello and welcome to EAB, chris72!

Hello Shoonay,
sorry for the long delay but it took me some time to revived my Amiga 2000 and search my old disks for the original Super Nibbly files. I have a created an authentic disk image (dms format) from the master disk. So this is 100% original. I also visited the softpres.org page to check out the SPS project but I found the requirements a little bit overkill. Super Nibbly uses plain Amiga Dos disk format and no copy protection. So I don't think a SPS image is worth the efford. Any suggestions what I should do with the .dms file? |

Upload it to The Zone! (the link is left of 'Log Out' in the top frame bat).
Here is how to gain access to it if you haven't done it yet. Once they get it, people will mirror it on more permanent places (The Zone! uploads only stay alive 7 days). |

Chris72, Welcome to EAB!
Good to have more developers like you on board! A lot of us retro gamers find the "old" games are actually the best games! |

@Valken: It's amazing to see that people still like those old games.
To be honest most of the games where rather simple and it's better to keep them in good memory :-) Yesterday I started my old Amiga and looked into some of the top games (Turrican, R-Type, Speedball, ...). Playing them with a real Quickshot joystick and on real Amiga hardware takes you back in time... @lilaurl: I've uploaded the file to The Zone! |

Hi Chris72,
I have typical question. What about sources for that game ? Is possible to obtain that sources ? ( Yes, I'm source collector ) Regards |

Thanks for your contribution to your own game, Chrisanth .
As I have done HD repacks in the past, I've played with assigns before. I totally understand the fact that Super Nibbly is DOS, and that it can be played from HD without too many problems. Nevertheless, I think a slave would a more "clean" solution, if I may say so. With both the original and the source code, Maybe Asman would grant us with a WHDload of this game, if you don't mind him doing so (when he has the time). |

I am very happy to see my game being preserved.
Thank you for the efford you put into this project I have a working Amiga with a harddisk, a gvp 68030 turbocard and 6GB FastRAM. So if it's really necessary I would be able to create the SPS image. |
