problems making discs

Hi. I can make any other disc up but when i try a cd32 one it never works?

Using Maxwell CD-Rs and all my drives report the same issue (at any speed) no matter what the game. For example the log below (split into two parts as its too long for one message):

Anyone know what i can do?
thanks

p.s. im not an expert but i think this " The drive probably corrected the Sync/Header Area because it's wrong in the image file." has something to do with it

trydowave, burn iso's for cd32 with the best tool : imgburn.
Search on duckduckgo.com for these keywords: "download imgburn mirror" for windows (or linux with wine)
You can also use it to backup..........

That's step one. Than there is another thing. Stop looking for answers in different brands of cd'r producers. The original cd laser device is not really perfect with cd'rs. It will work for some not all. The poor device was developed in a time way before cd'r discs... You could replace it for another sony laser device. B instead of A or the other way around, can't remember, search the web. . If you are not comfortable with electronic jobs like this you could ask a specialist here on the forum. Be careful not to break your beloved cd32

....you were in imgburn already, I see now... ok good. Did you use the right iso file? I can't give exact details, the moderators here wouldn't like it, but search on the net for emu in combination with paradise....I know that the cd32 ones work after burning

yeah i know about all those sites.. shame most of them have been shut down recently. Basically, it doesn't matter where i get them from im having trouble problems with the burn (errors etc).

Some isos are complete, some have separate mp3 audio which i combine using segacuemaker software. These things worked in the past but dont now.

Maybe its the maxwell discs?

About the ISO, before burning them take a test with WinUAE (QuickStart - CD32), if they are not bootable they will never start.

Moderators are cool with EmuParadise now that we can post URLs that contain .IPF files; as the rules have recently changed here

Exactly; problem is that all files on there seem to be removed, see this thread: No more ROM downloads from EmuParadise

Anyway, you can find most stuff, if not all plus more on the EAB File Server

A1200 can not start CD-Bootable for CD32, you can do it only through a particular software.

do you have a link to this software?

As for playing CD32 ganes on my A1200. Ive got a few to work no problems. and ive seen theres cd32 emulation on it?

The software u mentioned.. shall i put the iso on my hdd and run it from there and not use the cdrom drive at all?

I tried runing an iso from the drive yesterday and mounted it on the A1200 using some software (disk image i tthink). The disc appeared on workbench but when i run it the screen just goes black and nothing happens?

thanks

The software is called AsimCDFS, the application I used to run the CD32 from the Workbench is called SimBoot.

To run SimBoot you have to mount the CD0 with the "AsimCDFS" Filesystem, with other Boot CD32 emulation filesystems will never work from the Workbench.

Also on WinUAE you have to mount the CD0 with "AsimCDFS", other Filesystem or the automatic mounting of WinUAE will not start SimBoot.
