Can't "save" time
Hi,
I've got a bit of a strange problem. I'm using cwb 3.9 which has been fine but over the last couple of weeks my time is wrong and when I go into prefs to open up the time settings I cannot save the new time because the save button is greyed out. What gives? Thanks, Craig |

That sounds like the OS hasn't detected a real-time clock module. What accelerator have you got? Is the battery dead on the clock module? If you have an old-style barrel battery, is it leaking? Remove or replace it before it does!

Sometimes the clock circuit needs a reset. There is an old program called Chronos to do that.

It's a coin battery on my 4000. I'll try and reset it later.

Well I tried to reset the clock with something from Aminet but it says it could not detect a clock battery. I tried putting in a new battery and still the same.
The clock resets to the time and day I installed the OS (I think) Any more ideas? Thanks |

Brute force overwrites the clock's registers with zeroes. If there still is a clock, this should reset it. |

Thanks. I'll try tonight. The mobo had acid damage and it was fixed previous to my ownership. I'm worried it wasn't fixed well enough.

Well I think I've come to the conclusion that the mobo is infact damaged which I'm gutted about. I guess it could be worse as I don't have any other issues with this thing. Anyway I have downloaded NetClock and set it to automatically fetch the time when I open up Miami. This will have to do for the time being!
Thanks, Craig |
