Or solder it yourself I made a 230W powersupply myself just use old AT or ATX powersupply for it...

Now that you mention it there was a hack on Aminet to do this for the A500. The 1200 would be identical.

should be no problem at all I use the same powersupply on A1200 and A500... only so far I know the A1200 uses one powerline less since it is not connected in the A1200 but better to connect it than you can use it on A500 too.
