Wanted: Amiga 1200. Please!
I have just joined this forum, but have been reading and using the info from it for a few months now! Great forum, really helpful.
Basically i am an oldskool amiga user who has recently reignited his interest in the system. I have a large games collection, and have decided that i would like to contribute to the CAPS project as i have a few titles that they dont yet have. After contacting the CAPS team, they told me that my A500 and A600 just cant hack the process needed to dump disk images, so i now have my heart set on an A1200 (which I have wanted to get my hands on for a while anyway)... My search for an A1200 started on ebay, and has just proved too stressful, time consuming and soul destroying . I think you know what I mean.Just wondering if any of you guys out there have anything of interest to me, anything A1200ish considered! Please note - I am a tight-fisted student ![]() Last edited by TheVeteran; 11 October 2004 at 15:33. |

i looked around in my favorite room (where the ami´ga is
) and found a A1200 that i didn´t use at moment...i think it could be yours, when you tell me what you like to donate for this... problem is that i live in germany and the delivery costs won´t be to cheap... personally i try to do everything for the caps project and think that you only have to pay the delivery costs... but i hope that you really dump games for caps and do not other nice things with it... ![]() |

Too bad, it seemed like a genuine enough offer.
I wish you good luck on finding one! |

I want one, but I'm pretty much interested only in an un-riced machine. Mostly because I only have around $35-$45 to spare and already have a couple of parts for one (namely a SCSI controller and 2GB laptop IDE drive).

What we need round here is someone to source Amiga computers for those not in UK i'd do it but i never see 10am on sunday never mind before
However i do have a m8 that does trawl the car boots in lancashire area, if any A1200's pop up i'll get him to buy them and see what we can work out on here for postage costs(plus the cost of the Amiga). I mean even an A500 is better than no Amiga eh! And Stuff Ebay Rip off place with lots of dodgy gear and idiots to bang the price up too!I have 2 Amiga A1200's i have projects in mind for the 2 as one has vga connector but the other is loverly white new looking one i am going to make the best of the 2 and the bits left which will probably still make a working A1200 will be offerd on here to the guy who started the thread first! Of course i am busy so this is gonna take a while! months rather than weeks it's on my to do list!

k, I have a vanilla A1200. I was going to ebay it complete with a load of games after selling my house in Kendal.
But I cant find the PSU... I know it worked, um, 3 or 4 years ago when I last switched it on. But I'm not going to ebay it like that! if any interest, let me know here and I'll list whats with it (software/hardware-wise). I know I'm new here (and posted a fair bit tonight), so checkout my feedback on www.ebay.co.uk under alanlj I think I have one heatware reference under same nick. I'm UK based, in Crewe, still travel up the M6 to Kendal (cos have a lot of stuff there still!), or down to basingstoke/bournemouth (son and parents) so can deliver within a reasonable radius.... |
