A600 - Microdrive installed and working, but HDD light never comes on...
 

What's going on here?

37.300 rom - boots a 4GB MD into 2.1 with 4 partitions fine. Runs WHDLoad games with no issues. I hear the drive spinning.

The power light is working. The floppy light works when expected, but the HDD light NEVER comes on...

The problem with the HDD access light is caused by some (usually cheaper) CF-IDE adapters not having a complete circuit.

Those CF-IDE adapters can so0metimes be modified so that the HDD activity LED indicates CF card activity just the same.
