Amiga FAQ wiki
Hey folks,
Have just been looking through the Amiga FAQ wiki, and it has the potential to be really useful I think, though sadly has fallen out of date. I know the whole point about wikis is that anyone can edit them, but I was thinking of slowly going through and cleaning up existing pages and correcting broken links etc. However because there's quite a lot which needs updating, I don't want to step on anyone's toes or upset anyone, or publish incorrect information - I was thinking maybe if I use this thread for whenever I substantially revise a page, then if anyone wants to they can check it, make corrections themselves or let me know here. I've just done a 'test edit' on the page for Workbench packs, which still listed AIAB which as far as I know is no longer updated or readily available. http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:workbench_packs Any thoughts (on this page or the idea in general)? |
Hmmm... I'll take that lack of response as a 'no-one cares' then.
Well as it is a wiki I'll just work on updating it piecemeal and announcing any substantial changes here, for people to look at, amend or ignore as they see fit! :) EDIT: Incidentally, who are the 'wiki managers' who can create new pages? The link from the wiki home page just takes me to the EAB moderators - is it all moderators, or just global moderators, or just RCK? |
Although i can't offer any help in updating etc, it could obviously do with being as update as poss, i have used the forums to find out most of what i need to know, but failing that i would go to wi-ki

If anyone's interested (unlikely?) I've just updated and cleaned up the following few pages:
http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:emulation http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:emulators http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:disk_image_file_types http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:emulation_links_page Feedback? |

go for it antonvaltaz
apathy rains supream it would seem surprised no one has done the How do I capture and record video using WinUAE Output? considering the last few weeks activirty on eab |
Have completely rewritten the 'Amiga Today' FAQ as it was completely outdated:
http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:today Have also expanded the Amiga hardware page, with a list of all 'classic' and 'new' Amiga models with links: http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:hardware There may well be some factual errors, so if you spot any either correct it yourself or leave a reply here and I'll correct it myself. PS I did also update another page the other day but I forgot which one! Oops... |
Nice work so far antonvaltaz :great
Just about the kickstarts on the hardware page : A1000 should be 1.1 (or 1.0 - 1.1) and A500 1.2 - 1.3 :) |

A few more updates:
http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:games_download http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:download_adf http://wiki.abime.net/amiga:download_whdload As ever, if there are any errors, suggestions etc then put them here (or edit the page directly yourself). EDIT: Forgot, I also updated the frontpage / menu links to be a little more logical / consistent. |
