August Riddle - Clues #1

Somehow I forgot about last Friday, what a shame. So there are the clues today. Over thirty people have already joined in, I hope these hints help you out!

Hints #1:
1) Pictures 6, 8, 10 and 12 show puzzles from classic point and click adventures.
2) Number 3 also shows a puzzle, but the game (heavily advertised online) is a different genre.
3) Game 4 is an indie game (about two years old) that has won many awards.
4) The following series (or the game pictured if no series exists) were first released on mobile devices: 2, 3, 5, 7, 13, 16, 18 plus one of the last row.

Deadline is Tuesday 31 August, enter via http://www.retrogamequiz.com/

Here is the quiz again, good luck:

August Quiz - Clues #2

What's exciting, totally popular and only runs for four more days? That's right, this month's "Riddle Riddle". Fifty players are competing, two from here, and the clock is ticking - here are the last clues in time for the final weekend. Let's go!

Clues #2:

1) What you can see in picture 6 has to do with monkeys in several ways.
2) Number 13 first appeared on the Nintendo DS.
3) Game 19 is not Portal, but another title has a reference to the Portal series.
4) There is one Game Boy game in this round, and one for the Atari 2600.

Deadline is next Tuesday (31st of August), enter via http://www.retrogamequiz.com/

Here's the quiz one last time, good luck: https://i.imgur.com/2lEN0AH.png

#13 is easy, it's #12 that stumps me. Really? That is a "puzzle from" a point & click adventure? It looks like a pervert Mario!

Got 13!

Looks like we are all stuck on the same ones.

I had also already worked this out but it doesn't help!

4) There is one Game Boy game in this round, and one for the Atari 2600.

I've left it really late again.

I wonder if you lot are looking at the same picture. None of those ones are easy, lol.

The Gameboy one I found by accident very early on... I didn't find a screenshot of the game directly but I found a piece of artwork with a character that sort of kind of looked like the screenshot if I used my imagination. So I popped the name in the search and what do you know, it actually was the character from the game.

The Atari 2600 one I actually found with Google images but only when I use one very specific set of search keywords and only one screenshot of it appears...

I think we all know which is the 2600 one so using your tip, I'll have another go...

Was shucked today when I was in Worthing to see a 2600 the same as mine being sold for £180 (far too much I think).

I happened upon what I think is 16 just looking at totally random stuff.

Got more than I thought I would. This will send me into a puzzle game fest, guaranteed.

This. I've seen SO many games that look awesome, because of this quiz. Otherwise I just don't have a reason to go looking for them.

Note to self: must not forget to submit tomorrow One last search, but I'm not hopeful... I just can't figure out a good 8 or so of them. Hard, hard, hard.

Have just found the last one - hopefully a full house this month? Can't remember if I entered them all so will have to do so again, just in case...

Blimey, sounds like you've all done very well this month! I think I've made it to 19. There are a few that I recognise but can't quite get there with.

If you haven't recognised 2, then you've missed out on a brilliant puzzle game series. They type of car in the picture is definitely a help here.

Sounds like you've done ok - some were really obscure (too me) and took a lot of work to find. Won't be the same next month as being a headteacher, I'll be too knackered and time poor (especially as I have now got everyone excited about my Target Renegade port).
