you should also consider to look at AmiTradeCenter
a Freeware powerful FTP client

I did try to, it actually guru'd on my 060. Obviously poorly written.

nope is not the 060 main problem is the mui libs
amitrade center is a good FTP program
use the ones that comes with the program because new versions causes crashes
anyways the best FTP program for the AMiga is Dopus 5 ftp build in

i think you have to copy the keyfile into the L: or S: folder.

#1) AmFTP is looking for PROGDIR:AmFTP.key ( is the folder with the AmFTP program )
not L: or S: - so ensure you have the correct keyname - since some lists as AmIRC&AmFTP.key - rename.
some of the keyfiles may not work - blacklisted, try another or use the release by DC:
.... Commodore_Amiga/App/Archive/AmFTP/AMFTP_1.91-DC/AMFTP191.LHA
this seems working without any key.

Thank you, I tried renaming and everything but it didn't help so I just got the DC version

As far as I can read in some docs from the DC version, 1.91 is buggy and fails randomly on Resume, so I wondered if someone has v1.89?

Ok, AmiTradeCenter (free) is much better, and works with all FTPs I've tested (Amftp failed download instead from some servers), never mind.
I have no issues with ATC + 060/040.
