Roll eyes (sarcastic) Fake ROM???

I just installed the new romset 46.143 for the Amiga 1200 which I got from a reseller abroad. I already had OS3.1.4 installed with softroms, all I did was delete some rows in the startup sequence. The process went well and the machine boots up normally, but I noticed that there were some differences between softrom and realrom. After exporting realrom (46.143) and transferring it to a file format on my PC, the Amikick program cannot read realrom, while instead it reads softrom normally.
WinUAE sees both roms equally and runs normally.
I enclose some photos to help you understand exactly what I mean.
Are the roms fake?

There are two slightly different revisions of the 3.1.4 ROMs out in the wild. Both were released by Hyperion, and both are perfectly legal. Maybe, Amikick doesn't know the newer revision of the ROMs.

that's what I thought but Amikit recognizes the softkick 46.143. Since WinUAE runs on both soft and hard is a relief for me. I take your word for the slightly different revisions. Thanks

Difference between a byte-swapped (for burning) and non byte-swapped file perhaps?

That would have been my second guess... ;-)

I can confirm that there are two revisions of Kickstart 3.1.4 by Hyperion: first/older and second/newer which differ slightly. Current version of AmiKick 1.08 doesn't support the second/newer revision of this Kickstart.

I seem to remember that the only difference between the two versions is in the copyright notice. One version reads "Copyright 2018 Hyperion Entertainment CVBA All Rights Reserved" and the other version reads "Copyright 2018 Hyperion Entertainment CVBA Developed Under License"

I was right in the middle of purchasing all of the different 3.1.4 variants when they were required to change the Copyright notice. Hyperion suddenly stopped all on-line downloading (sales) of the product, Copyright notice was changed, and then sales resumed shortly after re-wording the Copyright notice. I think the total down time to change the Copyright notice was only a few days.
