I must add that whdload only works ok with this card if you disable the mmu (at least on my AmigaTechnologies amiga, haven't tested it elsewhere) I must also add that I am selling it because I got a 68040 from vesalia.

it is OFFICIAL, after contacting the whdload author and doing a test, this card DOES NOT HAVE A GOOD MMU, you can still run whdload without the MMU fine... It's a pretty fast card, but you cannot use the MMU.

and I take it the CPU is that one in the corner with the blue heat sink and it appears to be soldered directly to the board ?!?

If so it's too bad as it would have been pretty easy to replace it if it had come in a PLCC socket

yep, the cpu is under the blue heatsink, you cannot replace it... the strange thing is that the markings on the cpu SAY 100% that this is a full 030, not a EC030 ... but for some reason mmu is disabled? who knows why...

im going to buy this card and keropi told me about the mmu problem immedately. and i think that most of us knew about the problem before he put the ad cos he was asking around for a possible solution of the mmu problem. so no flaming necessary imo.

The card probably uses an overclocked CPU (28MHz chip clocked to 40MHz), which renders the MMU unstable. Apollo, masters of cheap and unreliable hardware, did this a lot.

And you told me off earlier for saying it was "CRAP" !!

Now comes the time to sell it on ebay with one of those "it should work OK", "50% restocking fee" guarantees

actually it stopped working after a power failure, also my pc's psu died.... better without it...

I'll sell it as a collector item, "RARE AMIGA 1200 ACCELERATOR BOARD" with "RARE GENIOUS DESIGN ALLOWED THE 28MHZ CPU TO OPERATE AT 40MHZ" and "GREAT FOR SERIOUS COLLECTORS OF COMPUTER HISTORY"

You mean, of course, "Rare genius design allowed the 28MHz CPU to operate at 40MHz for 30 minutes before it burnt itself out".
