Hi jailer,

Yes, it looks like there's a good chance it should do the job. However, you always have to bear in mind that it's just not possible to predict with 100% certainty whether individual flash media adapters will be compatible with either the PCMCIA or IDE ports of the Amiga. The only way to tell, unless you can get verification from an owner of this particular adapter, is to give it a try.

I have the same card reader. It works with everything I put inside it but SD cards.

Call it bad luck: I think all my SD cards are SDHC.

That's most likely the problem.

How does it work? can you use these readers with the CFD (compact flash device) from aminet?

Yes, when used with SD cards, at least, this reader works in exactly the same way as a CF card mounted in a CF-PCMCIA adapter.

Edit: The drivers you will require from Aminet are
CFD v1.25 ( http://aminet.net/package/driver/media/cfd ) or
CFD v1.27 ( http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/cfd ) and
CardReset ( http://aminet.net/package/util/boot/CardReset ) and
Fat95 ( http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/fat95 )

OK It doesn't work.
The one I bought is this one (ebay link)
I also have a compactflash to PCMCIA adapter that works great, so I know my software is OK, but this adapter does nothing. Tried with MMC and SM media that I know is good.
Can anyone recommend a SD card (or Memory Stick/Pro) reader that works? Thanks.

I have the same one, and it works wonderfully in my A1200. I mainly use it for SDs (haven't got any SmartMedia cards), and I do remember using a 32MB MMC in it, and it worked without troubles.

It sounds like the adapter is faulty.

Have you tried with an SD card?
