Picasso 96 Installation

Hi all,

I recently bought Picasso 96 from iComp. I received the adf and lha files. I mounted the adf in my Gotek which is recognized. However, when I click on the Picasso icon, the Window is empty but shows 73% full in the Window Title bar.

Is this normal?

Try hitting the "show all files" option. There are files but not icons, it seems.

Apparently you are still running Kick 2.0 and WB 1.3.

P96 requires Kick 3.1 and WB 3.1. And of course it needs a graphics card as it is a driver software for graphics cards. It is not of much use on native graphics.

However, the icons should appear anyway IMHO.

Edit: there are no icons. The .adf is just the .lha on a floppy disk. Use your preferred .lha unpacker to unpack it.

I have a Retina Z2 and recently bought P96 not realizing the requirement of Kickstart 3.1 and WB 3.1.
What are my options now?

Kick 3.0 would also work, but nothing below that since the data structures P96 uses simply did not exist before that point. For the RetinaZ2, you also need a working MMU and a MMULib installation because this card uses segmented memory.

Options are either to upgrade your system, or check with Jens for a refund.

If you upgrade, maybe the best is to upgrade to the latest 3.2 version.
