23 pin video connectors
Hi all,
I have found a supplier for the 23 pin dsub female connectors for the Amiga video port (and the plastic hoods), i have ordered 50, and cleaned out their stock. If i can get more, i will. I noticed there is someone on ebay selling these for $4.50 each (just the connector). If this supplier comes through then i will be willing to sell these for $4.50... the $4.50 would be for the hood and the connector itself If you are interested, let me know |

Well that was a while ago - for all I know the situation may have changed.
Also, there are (or were) at least half a dozen different online sites very similar to that one, all based on the same template and with seemingly the same inventory - but different prices. I've no idea whether they're all one company, or a franchise, or what - but I suppose it's possible some of the variants have stock left. |

Is there a functional difference between the original 23 pin connectors and cut down 25 pin ones ?
I have had 23 pin to VGA adapter for quite some time, and only recently bothered to look at it more closely. Turns out it is a cut down 25 pin connector... |

Mechanical strength, if you cut the last two pins off you may come close to shaving out the next two or putting a stress point in at the end of the connector.
