Amiga spotted in LoveJoy

Flicking through channels just and spotted a woman doing some kind of CAD work on a 1084S monitor, the app, had what I consider the horrid blue/orange style of WB1.3 and I only saw the corner of a big box Amiga in the shot while Lovejoy ranted about some age old sword or something.

Its on ITV3, it does not give the episode title on my freeview EPG, but I'll check the TV guide or somet

Back in the day I was always amused to see an A500 in Paul Robinson's office in Neighbours It was usually just sitting on WB1.3 with the clock program running.

I thought Commodore had some kinda deal with Neighbours, I recall a kid having to work like a slave to earn a copy of F117 I think it was for the A500.

There was a show on the SciFi channel called "My secret identity" the mad professor had a A500 and would write like a diary on it, which would form part of the show.

The scene with "Josh" removing a virus from Paul Robinson's A500 using the "Graphics Ripper" utility has always stayed with me.

There's also an episode of Cracker that features an Amiga.

And in Father Ted episode "The Old Grey Whistle Theft" there's an A600 under the telly.

"Playing the ol' videogame there, I see?"

Ah Neighbours had such cool miggys;

Paul Robinsons office A500 always had workbench 1.3 running with Notepad and a dot matrix printer

Then I remember Josh dialling into the school mainframe with Todds home A500 PC. He got the passwords from the secretarys drawer tray.... remember Josh coming home with a black box which he proclaimed would lead them to global thermonuclear war

Paul Robinson eventually got a A500 for his home too. Hardly used it though - stayed off most of the time

I saw a C-64 in Police Academy 2 last week. They showed "Paperboy" for 1-2 seconds.

2m 20s into this video... where's that mouse pointer from?

Yup, Amiga's were used on The Chart Show in the late 80's early 90's

no one else has mentioned the A4000 keyboards in Red Dwarf series 5?

near the beginnings of Terrorform (Lister plays 'some dumb adventure game') and near the start of Demon & Angels in the science lab i think. i'd recognise those beige keys anywhere!

Hah! I thought I was the only one who'd noticed that! I noticed it back in the day.

I thought they used 2000s prior to that, and back in series 1 there's a 64 IIRC...

Amigas were also used in The Kypton Factor. They were in loads of early 90s shows really as they were very easy and cheap to use for these shows.

That must be a wireless C64, the PSU is not even connected to it.
And Paperboy is not even the C64 version.

i saw a series 3 episode the other day, and yes, i'm sure there was an A2000 keyboard in starbug.

Like Marlon, i noticed the A4000 keyboards the first time round because my brother had one, though i completely missed the A2000 ones! and yeah, the C64 is in series 1, I dont know about later on though.

I saw an Amiga 2000 in Inspector Morse the other day. They used it in the forensic lab.

I remember in the early 90's there was show here on TV called "Now You See It" which was a kids quiz show that had a little side kick robot, and hosts name was Mike Mead. They had kids coming onto the show to win a computer for their school, and yep, you guessed it, the main prize was an Amiga 500 !!!..

Also i remember seeing another TV host of ours by the name of Larry Emder ( the guy who hosts "The Price Is Right ) with an A500. It was like a little TV special about Larry and they went through his home, and as he was showing them around, you could see his Amiga 500, and i also remember him saying on his TV show once out loud for some reason !?.. "Caaaaaarv Up !!!" This was after i had seen his A500 on that TV program and then i realised he was "perhaps" referring to the game "Carvup" on the Amiga.
