Non booting .hdf file in winuae 1.4.6

Hi, I just downloaded WinUAE 1.4.6 and tried to make a 15 MB .hdf file and installed wb 2.04 on it (using a 500+ configuration) but after following the guides (green alien and one other) it won't boot. just shows the insert workbench startup screen. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Unless you need WB 2.04 for some peculiar reason - I'd try one of these sites http://www.amigainabox.co.uk/ http://amikit.amiga.sk/ http://classicwb.abime.net/

Any of these will give you a pre-configured WB setup (version 3.0+). All you'll need is an original WB disc and they install dead easy
